The Department offers exemption exams for both POLS 206 and 207. You may exempt one but not both classes. One must be taken as a classroom class.
The exams are administered by Measurement and Research Services located in the General Services Complex. Check with them about times and dates for the exam.
Each exam is 100 questions. Passing is 60%. These exams are developed by the
faculty in Political Science. The POLS 207 exam is comparative state and local
with emphasis on Texas. The POLS 206 exam is on American National government.
